1. How to Deal with Scumbags

Some people wear a friendly face but treat others with double standards, flipping to anger when challenged. Recognise when someone's actions don’t align with what they preach and avoid demanding standards you don’t uphold yourself. Over the years, you’ll realize everyone has shades of “scumbagism”; nobody escapes being the villain in someone’s story. Learn to push yourself to the lowest possible score on the “scumbag” scale, and don’t waste energy on those stuck above a 4 LEVEL SCUMBAGNESS. Understand your boundaries so manipulation doesn’t force you into self-betrayal.

Tool: Rate yourself and others on a 1–10 “scumbag scale.” Reflect and decide what you need to manage or avoid.
